Lauda Musicam of Atlanta maintains a large inventory of instruments, bows, mouthpieces, and other accessories. Members of Lauda Musicam are eligible to check out instruments that are not in use by other members.
In order to keep track of this inventory, members must fill out the form below whether you are checking out the instrument or returning it to the inventory.
Expectations for using an instrument or accessory
•The item becomes the responsibilty of the person who has checked it out. The user is responsible for damages and repairs beyond normal wear-and-tear. These repairs can include replacing broken strings, repairing or replacing a damaged instrument, or replacing a lost accessory. When in doubt about responsibility of repair or maintenance, ask the Music Director.
•The instrument should be stored adequately, kept out of harms way, and regularly cleaned (and or oiled/lubricated as necessary). If you are unsure of the correct way to care for your instrument, ask the Music Director.
•If a member chooses not to renew membership, all instruments and accessories should be returned in the same condition as when they were checked out.
•Seek guidance from the Music Director before sending an instrument for repair. Some repairs may be simpler than you think.
When returning an instrument or accessory
Complete this form when returning an instrument or accessory you have checked out. Please have any repairs or maintenance completed before returing it to the inventory.
